Introduction

This documentation provides an overview of the Payen Platform and details the various integration routes available. The Payen Platform provides a secure mechanism to perform transactions and transaction operations that enable merchant processes. The Payen Platform also provides a tokenisation solution to ease the burden of PCI compliance, providing merchants with a solution that is both functional and secure.

Audience

This guide assumes that the reader has an understanding of the payment service industry, data communications and how to connect to third-party solutions. The audience for this document includes technical integration teams and developers who wish to process transactions through the Payen Platform.

API Guide

The API Guide describes how to integrate directly to the Payen Platform's API. It is important to note that using this method of integration requires a PCI certification appropriate for managing card information. A detailed API reference can be found in the API section.

User Interface Guide

Payen provides a secure user interface that facilitates the payment process on behalf of the merchant. It makes use of intelligent features to provide the best possible user experience. This method of integration delegates the PCI compliance to the Payen Platform.

Response Codes

Details the message, transaction, validation, status and limit codes used in platform responses.

Sandbox

Describes the test environment provided to merchants to test their integration. Various special trigger values and test cards can be used to effect different transaction responses.
